Last week we wrote about the menus served on Austrian long-haul flights. This week we end our series on in-flight catering with a look at Special Meals.
People with special dietary requirements will get all they need at Austrian Airlines. Our kitchen, too, is ready to offer you special services aboard.
Ranging from vegetarian dishes to kosher meals, our special menus are designed to fulfill all of our passengers’ personal requirements. It matters to us, whether you have a personal preference for something or need to follow religious dietary laws.
Also, passengers who have to watch what they eat for medical purposes are in good hands with us. We offer gluten-free food for people suffering from celiac disease as well as non-lactose menus. There’s also a choice of low-calorie food as we care for our passengers’ cholesterol level and want them to start into their holidays as lightly as possible. If a passenger has to eat special meals due to diabetes, we are of course able to help them watch their sugar level, too.
For our youngest passengers aged between 0 and 2, we offer a baby menu specifically tailored to the needs of infants.
How do I get my special menu?
Simply order your menu 24 hours before departure. Either at your travel agency, at the airport, via hotline +43 (0)5 1766 1007 or directly during online booking. You can leave the rest to us. All Special Meals are listed on austrian.com.
Special meals are free of charge on long-haul flights and on all flights in Business Class.
